Kenneth B. Hinton, 77, of Maysville, Kentucky died Sunday, March 28, 2015 at the Meadowview Regional Medical Center. Mr. Hinton was a Radiological Technologist who retired from Meadowview Regional Medical Center and had served as the assistant administrator with Hayswood Hospital and Meadowview Hospital. He was an active member of Central Baptist Church, the Kentucky Baptist Convention, Southern Baptist Mission Projects, locally and worldwide, the Masonic Lodge NO 52 and a board member of the Oneida Baptist Institute. Kenneth B. Hinton, 77, of Maysville, Kentucky died Sunday, March 28, 2015 at the Meadowview Regional Medical Center. Mr. Hinton was a Radiological Technologist who retired from Meadowview Regional Medical Center and had served as the assistant administrator with Hayswood Hospital and Meadowview Hospital. He was an active member of Central Baptist Church, the Kentucky Baptist Convention, Southern Baptist Mission Projects, locally and worldwide, the Masonic Lodge NO 52 and a board member of the Oneida Baptist Institute. Mr. Hinton had served four years in the US Navy and was a former leader of the Royal Ambassador Program. He graduated from the Oneida Baptist Institute, the Cincinnati General Hospital Science and Arts of Radiography, attended Maysville Community and Technical College and Ohio State University and supported UK Basketball. He was born in Lewis County, Kentucky on March 27, 1938 the son of the late Willard and Jessie Toller Hinton. Survivors include his wife, Wally King Hinton; his daughter Suzanne (Paul) Weaver of Lexington, KY; grandchildren, Martin Weaver, Caleb Weaver and Annika Weaver; sister, Peggy Reed of New Boston, OH; his niece, Donna Collins and nephews, Tim Reed and Todd Reed. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Don Reed.
Funeral services for Ken Hinton will be held at the Central Baptist Church at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 4, 2015 with Rev. Mark Powell, Rev. Robert Donovan, Rev. Truett Cocanougher and Rev. Charles Hedrick officiating. Burial will be in the Black Oak Cemetery with graveside rites performed by Rev. Kurt KIng. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Central Baptist Church and his Sunday School Class. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday, April 3, 2015 from 5 to 8 PM. Masonic rites will be held at 7:30 PM.
Memorials may be made to the Oneida Baptist Institute or to the Central Baptist Church building Fund, 437 Central Baptist Church, Maysville, KY 41056. The arrangements are under the direction of the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home.
